Ron Pinchick for Mayor

Ron has been a proud resident of Clayton for more than 24 years and was born and raised, like many Clayton citizens, in Philadelphia. He and his wife Laura settled in Clayton because of the community’s promise of safety, economic stability and sane, stable management. 

Stable management ended 13 years ago when there was no dissenting voice against one party rule and decisions were made, based on political payback. In just the last 12 months, homeowners have been rocked with a double-digit tax increase, locked into a “free” community library while baring the expenses of staff and operations, (something else), and received nothing but the same promises in return.

I am running for Mayor of our community because I believe in the people of our town, that we need new, independent leadership, not the same leadership that has produced a rotting commercial business district, more fixed-income housing, derelict properties, more liquor and “discount dollar” stores and a “go along to get along” government management, tied to politicians promising better jobs for you IF you do what they say. 

As the father of two, and a grandfather to five grandsons, I am appalled by the continued presence of a half-way house in our Borough downtown, and the attempts of our Borough Council to eliminate our Police Department, underfund our firefighters, and turn their backs on the needs of both our aging and new family populations. 

In my professional career in finance, my titles ranged from supervisor, manager, to director, and I am currently a licensed real estate professional with more than 13 years of experience. 

As your Mayor, my focus, goal, and plan is simple - to remake Clayton into a positive hometown for all residents. I will be your voice in municipal government.
